Part Diary, Part Travel Journal

George Eliot is one of the greatest arthors in the history of the world. This book consists of diaries she wrote after moving in with her male 'friend' 1n 1854 and travel descriptions she wrote on trips to Europe. Some of these works have been published in other books, some have only been published in this book. I recommend this book depending on YOUR interest in this writer. If you have read other works by George Eliot and love them enough to want to read a book about her personal life then you will enjoy this book. If you do NOT want to read a book that goes into George Eliot's life then you should skip this book.
