An honest review
By Raymond K.
There was a lot of fluff in the book. The one bright spot that I liked was the explanation of the P/E and PEG ratios.
It is pretty obvious that the 5 star reviews are fake. Who writes reviews like that?
I think Andy would have been better off explaining dividends and going into detail about REITs, MLPs,and income mutual funds or ETFs. Most students of the Rich Dad school of thought might borrow money from a bank at 3.25% to invest in a REIT, MLP, etc that is paying 7%. But any student who uses debt to invest in options (even covered call writing) is taking on a form of gambling (truth be told) that I don't think would be blessed by RK or the Cashflow 202 game. I was really expecting more from this book and am sorry to have bought it.
I am a strong believer in cash flow investing and it has served me well in my life. But to use Andy's method and the higher taxes that would be paid on those potential gains seems to go against everything I have learned at the Rich Dad Company.

This book moves you from ignorance to awareness...that's it!
By Jason Ansley
Andy introduces a great concept called the "education continuum" wherein a learner should progress from ignorance, to awareness, to proficiency, to competency.
The majority of the information you can find on the internet by perusing Andy's blog posts and other peoples information that is similar to Andy. Therefore if you have any trading/investing experience at all...this book is pretty much a waste.
If it is a waste, why did I give it three stars and not one? Two factors influenced this decision on my part.
1. Andy is a Robert Kiyosaki Rich Dad Advisor. He knows his stuff and I am a huge Kiyosaki fan. The information is solid and good information. It simply did not help me move from where I am on the education continuum, like I had hoped.
2. If someone is ignorant or barely aware about investing, trading, and specifically cashflow generation and risk management; then this is a good book for them. Just don't expect to read this book and they start trading. There is a bit more to it than that.
I do have another concern, while it bears hearing, it is not critical of this book. The "4 pillars" Andy discusses in this book, is also a virtual training course that Andy sells between $500-$900. Disclaimer, I have not taken that course, but I have had it marketed enough to me to advise you to spend the $14 on this book and not the $500-$900 on the course...unless you absolutelty hate reading and really want this information presented a video/webinar style.
Is it worth $14 for the book? Yea...(said hesitantly)
Will the book alone enable you to begin trading tomorrow? No. You must do some more learning first!

Incorporating Option Trading Into the "Rich Dad" Philosophy
By Steve Burns
Being a big fan of the 'Rich Dad' series of books and an avid trader of stocks and options I did not know what to expect from this book trying to tie it all together. I was pleasantly surprised by this books ability to explain the basic concepts of trading stocks and options using fundamental analysis and technical analysis to create cash flow by using paper asserts. I believe this is a much simpler and easier process for building net worth and cash flow than dealing with rental properties and real estate. I really like how Andy Tanner suggested 1% risk of capital per trade as a basic example of proper risk management which I agree with and also his explanation of how traders can operate like casinos not gamblers with the use of an edge. His biggest points were how to use stock option contracts for leverage in your trading versus the need to own stocks and also how to sell option contracts for cash flow consistently. I really loved his stories of how Warren Buffett sold naked puts on value stocks at levels he wanted to own them at and how Mark Cuban was paid in Yahoo Inc. stock for the business they bought from him and he was able to hedge the Yahoo stock with puts to ensure he would remain a billionaire even if Yahoo collapsed, which it did from over $100 to $4 a share with the dot com bubble burst in the year 2000. This is an excellent beginners book for would be traders of options, the scope of this book is just an introduction the principles and concepts of trading options profitably which will be a big eye opener to many new traders. If you are interested in the concepts of the 'Rich Dad' series of books or how to trade this is a great place to start.
